The M8 is BMW's newest flagship coupe, sold as a Coupe, Convertible and four-door Gran Coupe on the current G14/G15/G16 platform. Front End leads the damage tally at 63%. Under the hood is the S63 twin-turbo V8, the same family that powers the X5 M and X6 M, and it carries the same known weak point: BMW has run a service campaign on certain model years for connecting-rod bearing wear that can lead to a knock or a stall, so check whether that work was completed before you assume the bottom end is healthy. Carbon buildup on the direct-injection intake valves is the routine maintenance item everyone forgets, and it's worth a walnut-blasting service if the car's high-mileage and the history is thin. The M8 also carries an electronically controlled locking rear differential and adaptive air suspension components on some trims, so a hard hit anywhere near the rear subframe is worth inspecting closely, not just the visible sheet metal. If the shell's too far gone, the non-repairable M8 lots still move for the drivetrain and interior.
