The Maverick is the newest and smallest truck in Ford's lineup – a compact unibody pickup that's only been on the road since 2022, and it doesn't sit in the auction pool for long. Demand runs well ahead of supply, so wrecked ones still pull real money here; a salvage Maverick rarely goes cheap the way an older half-ton does. Only a handful have sold at auction so far – too few to quote a firm price – but the winning bids stayed high, closer to clean used money than to bargain salvage. Front-end damage is the usual story, and most are rebuildable rather than parts fodder, which is exactly why rebuilders and flippers chase them. Nearly all stay in the US.
Two things really decide a Maverick. Start with the drivetrain: the standard truck is a 2.5-liter hybrid driving the front wheels, so a front hit can reach the high-voltage battery and its cabling – make sure that system reads healthy before you count on a cheap fix. The 2.0 EcoBoost with all-wheel drive is the other engine, quicker but pricier to put right. Then the body. It's unibody, not body-on-frame, so a hard front or rear impact bends structure instead of a bolt-on rail – look closely at the bed floor and the unibody seams, because a tweaked shell is a very different repair from a crumpled fender. One catch on a truck this new: parts are scarcer than on an F-150, and a rear clip or a hybrid module can be slow and dear to source. If a lot's flagged among the non-repairable Mavericks, treat it as a parts or export car – worth it only if you need a drivetrain or a straight shell to raid.

Is a salvage Maverick worth buying?
Often yes, if the unibody's straight and the hybrid system checks out. The Maverick is new and in short supply, so even wrecked ones hold strong money – the few that have sold here went for close to what a clean-title Maverick costs, not a salvage discount. A bent unibody, a damaged high-voltage battery, or hard-to-find body panels are where the math turns against you.
