The Flex is the boxy three-row Ford quit building in 2019, so the auction pool is thin and mostly older cars – a couple hundred lots at most, mileage averaging around 110,000. Only 14 salvage and repairable Flexes sold here over the last two years, too few to pin a real model price on, so treat the roughly $3,000 median across Ford as a whole as a loose guide, not a Flex number. Front and rear hits are the common damage, panels and glass are cheap, and the people chasing these tend to actually want one – it has a small but real cult following that keeps clean examples moving.
This is a two-row-frame myth-buster: there's no ladder frame at all – it's a unibody crossover, so a hard front hit loads the strut towers and core support, and a folded shell is far harder to pull straight than a truck. Two engines matter: the naturally aspirated 3.5 V6, and the 3.5 EcoBoost twin-turbo with AWD – that one's the one to want, but budget for it. The water pump on the 3.5 sits inside the engine, driven off the timing chain, so replacing it is a timing-cover job, not an afternoon – a known, real cost, so check for coolant weeping before you bid. On the AWD cars the power-transfer unit fails when it's been neglected, same story as the Explorer, so listen for whine and look for leaks. When the shell's straight a Flex rebuilds cleanly; when it isn't, the non-repairable Flex lots still make sense as a parts-only drivetrain donor.
Buying is quick: register free – no dealer license – set a maximum bid and the system bids for you up to that cap, or take a lot at its Buy Now price. Win it, pay the invoice plus fees, then arrange pickup, US delivery or export.
Note: ACV and damage data come from the original auction listing. Always check the condition and title yourself before you bid.

FAQ
FAQ What condition are these Ford Flexes in?
About 124 lots, 76% on a salvage title and the rest clean or rebuilt. Front-end and rear-end are the usual damage, mileage averages around 160,000, and the model years run 2009 to 2019 since it was discontinued.
Is a salvage-title Ford Flex worth buying?
Often yes, if the unibody is straight and the drivetrain is intact – panels and glass are cheap and there's a loyal following that keeps clean ones in demand. The sold sample here is small (14 in two years), so there's no reliable Flex median; across Ford recently the median winning bid was near $3,000 before fees. A crushed core support, a flooded interior, or a neglected power-transfer unit on the AWD cars is where the math stops working.
What should I check before bidding?
The strut towers and radiator core support first, since it's a unibody and a bent shell is expensive to fix. Then the engine – the 3.5's water pump is internal, so a coolant leak means a timing-cover job – and on AWD cars the PTU. Cross-check the title brand against the damage photos; they don't always match.
Can I insure and register a salvage Flex?
Only after it's rebuilt and passes a state inspection – then most insurers will cover it, just not the company that totaled it. While it carries a salvage title it can't be road-registered. Check with your insurer before you bid.
How does the auction work?
Register free, no dealer license. Set a maximum bid and the system bids for you up to that cap, or take a lot at its Buy Now price. Win it, pay the invoice plus fees, then pick up, ship or export.
How do I check a Flex's history before bidding?
Every lot shows the VIN, damage type and title brand. Run the VIN through a vehicle-history report for prior accidents, mileage and title events before you commit.
What are good alternatives to the Ford Flex?
Buyers cross-shop the three-row Chevy Traverse and Honda Pilot, or stay in the family with the Explorer. All three usually have healthier salvage counts than the discontinued Flex.
