By Model
This is the Hyundai-badged Genesis sedan built from 2009 through 2016, before the nameplate split off into its own luxury brand — a rear-drive flagship rather than a mainstream Hyundai. Too few trade here to build a median around, and the ones that do vary a lot in value: a low-mile 5.0 R-Spec sells nothing like a high-mile 3.8 base car with a rougher title. Read this pool as a luxury-sedan project rather than a cheap daily driver. Most stay in the US, picked up locally or shipped in-country.
Two structures cover this generation. Cars from 2009–2014 sit on the BH platform with a 3.8-liter Lambda V6 or a 5.0-liter Tau V8 in the R-Spec; the 2015–2016 refresh moved to the DH platform with an updated 3.3 or 3.8 Lambda II V6. Both the V6 and V8 are relatively durable engines by Hyundai's standards, without the rod-bearing history that dogs the smaller Theta II fours, but they're expensive to service and a used timing chain or oil-leak history is worth checking given rear-drive V6/V8 labor rates. It's a heavier, unibody rear- or all-wheel-drive car, so a hard front or rear hit into the subframe costs more to fix than on a compact sedan — check those mounts before anything cosmetic. Because it's a lower-volume luxury model, leather, wood trim and electronics are slower and pricier to source used than on a Sonata or Elantra, which matters if you're buying to repair rather than to part out. A non-repairable Genesis still holds real value for the drivetrain and interior alone.
Buying is quick: register free — no dealer license — set a maximum bid and the system bids up to that cap, or take a lot at its Buy Now price. Win it, pay the invoice plus fees, then pick up, ship or export.
Note: ACV and damage data come from the original auction listing. Always check the condition and title yourself before you bid.

FAQ
FAQ What condition are these Genesis sedans in?
About 107 lots, 79% on a salvage title and the rest clean or rebuilt. Front End leads at 49%, mileage averages about 139,000, and it's a sedan body throughout.
Is a salvage Genesis worth buying?
It can be, if the subframe's straight and the trim is complete — that's where the value hides on a luxury sedan this size. There's no reliable sold-price average here; a 5.0 R-Spec and a base 3.8 are different animals, so price by engine, trim and mileage rather than a make-wide figure.
What should I check before bidding?
Subframe mounts on any front or rear hit, since it's a heavy rear- or all-wheel-drive sedan. Confirm which engine's under the hood — 3.8, 3.3 or the 5.0 V8 — and check for oil-leak or timing-chain history. Inventory the leather and trim; it's slow and costly to replace.
Can I insure and register a salvage Genesis?
Only after it's rebuilt and passes a state inspection — then most insurers will cover it, just not the company that totaled it. While it's salvage-titled it can't be road-registered. Check with your insurer before you bid.
How does the auction work?
Register free, no dealer license. Set a maximum bid and the system bids for you up to that cap, or take a lot at its Buy Now price. Win it, pay the invoice plus fees, then pick up, ship or export.
How do I check a Genesis's history before bidding?
Every lot shows the VIN, damage type and title brand. Run the VIN through a vehicle-history report for prior accidents, mileage and title events, and confirm the exact trim and engine before you commit.
What are good alternatives to the Genesis?
The modern Genesis G80 is its direct successor; the Azera covers similar full-size ground within the Hyundai badge itself.
