The Journey is Dodge's three-row crossover, and its own sold history here is too thin to price on its own – across the make a recent Dodge sold for a median winning bid near $2,100 before fees, most between $1,200 and $4,750 before fees, and a Journey in typical condition tracks the lower-middle of that band rather than the muscle-car end. Most stay in the US, picked up locally or shipped in-country.
The Journey ran a long production span with only one real redesign, so the engine you get depends heavily on the year. Early cars offered a 2.4 four-cylinder and a 3.5 V6 that Dodge dropped fairly quickly; from 2011 the lineup settled on the 3.6 Pentastar V6 and a revised 2.4, later marketed as the Tigershark. On any Pentastar car, check for oil weeping at the plastic filter housing and a rough idle on the earliest examples. The base four-cylinder pairs with a dated 4-speed automatic that was already old news at launch, so a hunting or slipping shift is worth factoring into your bid. All-wheel-drive Journeys add a power transfer unit behind the transmission – a whine or vibration there points to an expensive repair, so listen for it if the car's drivable. As a unibody crossover there's no frame, so a front hit is a strut-tower and radiator-support check, and a third-row seat that folds and locks properly is worth confirming in person before you assume the interior's complete.
Buying is quick: register free – no dealer license – set a maximum bid and the system bids for you up to that cap, or take a lot at its Buy Now price. Win it, pay the invoice plus fees, then arrange pickup, US delivery or export; we handle the paperwork.
Note: ACV and damage data come from the original auction listing. Always check the condition and title yourself before you bid.

FAQ
FAQ What condition are these Journeys in?
About 488 lots, 68% on a salvage title and the rest clean or rebuilt. Front End is the most common damage, and mileage averages 137,000.
Is a salvage Journey worth buying?
It can be for a cheap family crossover, if the Pentastar's clean and the AWD system, on those trims, checks out. There's not enough sold history to price the Journey on its own, but across the make a recent Dodge sold for a median winning bid near $2,100 before fees. A whining transfer case, a folded strut tower, or a rough-idling Pentastar with unclear service history is where the math stops working.
What should I check before bidding?
Oil weeping at the Pentastar's filter housing first, then the base 4-speed automatic for a hunting or slipping shift. On AWD cars, listen for whine or vibration from the power transfer unit. Cross-check the title brand against the damage photos.
Can I insure and register a salvage Journey?
Not while it's still salvage. You register and insure it only after it's rebuilt and passes a state inspection; once re-titled rebuilt, most insurers will write it – just not the company that totaled it. Check with your insurer before you bid.
How does the auction work?
Register free, no dealer license needed. Set a maximum bid and the system bids for you up to that cap, or take an SUV at its Buy Now price. Win it, pay the invoice plus fees, then pick up, ship or export.
How do I check a Journey's history before bidding?
Every lot lists the VIN, damage type and title brand. Run the VIN through a vehicle-history report for prior accidents, mileage and title events before you commit.
What are good alternatives to the Journey?
The Mitsubishi Outlander covers the same three-row-optional class, and the Jeep Cherokee is the roomier cross-shop if you don't need the third row.
