Built from 2005 through 2011 on a rear- and all-wheel-drive platform shared with the Cadillac CTS, the STS was the larger, more luxury-focused sedan of the two, and it's a thin nameplate here — too few sell to build a model-specific price. The make-wide number is the better anchor: a recent Cadillac sold for a median winning bid around $2,400 before fees, and a clean-title STS with the base V6 tends to land near that range. Most stay in the US, picked up locally or shipped in-country.
Three engines cover most of the STS lineup. The 3.6-liter V6 is the volume choice and generally the easiest to live with, though direct-injection versions can carbon up the intake valves on high-mile cars. The naturally aspirated 4.6-liter Northstar V8, offered through the earlier model years, carries the same head-bolt and head-gasket weakness that shows up across Cadillac's Northstar-powered lineup — check the coolant for an oil sheen before you bid on any V8 car. At the top, the supercharged STS-V pairs a 4.4-liter Northstar with real power and a genuinely rare build count, so confirm the VIN and badge actually match before paying a V-Series premium; parts and specialized service are harder to find than on the standard car. All-wheel-drive versions add a rear differential and extra driveshaft that a hard hit can bend, so check underneath after any side or rear collision. If you'd rather skip a rebuild altogether, a clean-title STS with the base V6 is the safer entry point.
Buying is quick: register free — no dealer license — set a maximum bid and the system bids for you up to that cap, or take a lot at its Buy Now price. Win it, pay the invoice plus fees, then arrange pickup, US delivery or export.
Note: ACV and damage data come from the original auction listing. Always check the condition and title yourself before you bid.
