By Model
The A5 shares its bones with the A4 but wears a coupe, cabriolet or Sportback body instead of a plain sedan shell, and too few sell here to build a model-specific price – the make-wide $2,950 median before fees is the closest honest anchor. Front End shows up most on the lots that do come through. Nearly all stay in the US, picked up locally or shipped in-country.
The B8 generation, sold 2008 through 2017, uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four from Audi's EA888 family as its base engine, and the earlier examples of that motor carry the well-known combination of oil consumption and ignition-coil failures that shows up across the brand's turbo-four lineup, so a rough idle or a low dipstick reading is worth taking seriously on an older car. The B9, from 2018, moved to a newer version of the same 2.0T with far fewer of those complaints, and it introduced the Sportback body style to the US market as a five-door alternative to the two-door coupe. Quattro comes standard on most trims, though some base coupes were sold front-wheel-drive only. A convertible's soft top is worth cycling through a full cycle before you bid on any car with rear-end damage listed, since the mechanism isn't cheap to replace if it's stuck or torn. Because the coupe and cabriolet are two-door bodies, expect more door and quarter-panel dings from tight parking than the frame-level damage you'd worry about on a bigger sedan.
Buying is quick: register free – no dealer license – set a maximum bid and the system bids up to that cap, or take a lot at its Buy Now price. Win it, pay the invoice plus fees, then pick up, ship or export.
Note: ACV and damage data come from the original auction listing. Always check the condition and title yourself before you bid.

FAQ
FAQ What condition are these A5s in?
About 121 lots, 79% on a salvage title and the rest clean or rebuilt. Front End is the most common damage at 53%, mileage averages about 83,000, and the mix spans coupe and convertible bodies across model years 2009–2025.
Is a salvage A5 worth buying?
Often yes, if the engine checks out and the body's straight. Too few A5s sell here to set a model price, but recent Audis overall sold for a median winning bid around $2,950 before fees, with the middle half between $1,650 and $6,100. An older 2.0T that's already burning oil, or a convertible with a stuck top mechanism, is where the math turns against you.
What should I check before bidding?
Oil-consumption and ignition-coil history on any pre-2018 2.0T first. On a convertible, confirm the soft top actually cycles. Then check whether quattro is fitted or the lot is a front-wheel-drive base trim, since that changes both value and driveline checks.
Can I insure and register a salvage A5?
Only after it's rebuilt and passes a state inspection – then most insurers will cover it, just not the company that totaled it. While it's salvage-titled it can't be road-registered. Check with your insurer before you bid.
How does the auction work?
Register free, no dealer license. Set a maximum bid and the system bids for you up to that cap, or take a lot at its Buy Now price. Win it, pay the invoice plus fees, then pick up, ship or export.
How do I check an A5's history?
Every lot shows the VIN, damage type and title brand. Run the VIN through a vehicle-history report for prior accidents, mileage and title events before you commit.
What are good alternatives to the A5?
Buyers cross-shop the BMW 430i and the Mercedes C-Class in the same coupe-and-cabriolet class.
