Suzuki began manufacturing cars in the mid-1950s, adding to a lineup that would ultimately include four-wheel drive vehicles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, and other small internal combustion engines. In fact, Suzuki’s Suzulight was the initial lightweight car produced in Japan and included features that other manufacturers implemented as standard practice only decades later. Although its appeal is widespread, Suzuki ended U.S. sales in 2012, for a variety of reasons.
