Live Auction Bids

Live Auction lasts until the car is sold to the highest bidder. If none else places the bid - you are the winner. Congratulations!

Buyer’s remorse is the last thing you want to experience after an auction. To help ensure you are going to be satisfied with your vehicle, we advise you to conduct as much research as possible before you bid.

We provide 10 images of each vehicle available for auction on our site. Make sure you scroll through all of them. Once you do, if you are still interested, review the vehicle’s details to determine:

  • Title Type
  • Odometer Reading
  • Damage Type
  • Estimated Repair Cost
  • Whether the Keys are Included

With your Annual Membership, you will have access to 35 FREE Auto Auction History Reports. You can purchase additional auction reports for as little as $3.99 each. These reports will provide you with:

  • Vehicle Specifications
  • Auction Sales Information
  • Historical Pictures
  • Glossary of Terms

You also have the opportunity to purchase Vehicle History Reports for $8.99 each. These include a complete auction report, if available, and additional information such us:

  • DMV Title Data
  • Odometer Records
  • Junk/Salvage/Total Loss
  • Title Brand History
  • Minor Accident Data
  • Insurance Company Records
  • Open Lien/Loan Data

Your membership entitles you to visit any Copart yard to preview vehicles that are up for auction. Come take a look, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4 p.m. (EST).

Additionally, you can arrange for a third-party professional via AutoInspect.us to provide you with a first-hand inspection of any vehicle you are interested in placing a bid for at auction. This service costs $250 and will provide you a 155-point inspection that AutoInspect will have conducted within 24-48 hours of your request. This inspection will include information about:

  • Air-Conditioner System
  • Audio and Video System Control
  • Body Condition (Corrosion, Cracks, Dents, Lacquer Coating, Scratches)
  • Electrical Equipment
  • Engine
  • Glass
  • Measuring Devices Functioning Controls
  • Wheels and Tires
  • Trunk

With every order, you will also receive 10 Free EPICVIN Auto Auction History Reports.

Remember, if you add a vehicle to your Watchlist, we will automatically send you an email or an SMS alert on the day of the vehicle’s auction. This is the easiest way to monitor the lots that interest you.

Watchlists will keep track of the lot sale date, and you will be able to view the lot number, description, and current bid. To add a vehicle to your Watchlist, all you have to do is click the “Watch” button when viewing a lot that appeals to you.

Before you place your first bid, join a Live Auction and familiarize yourself with the process. Knowing what to expect will be a tremendous advantage. First and foremost, you will want to know your potential vehicle’s row and item number. This will allow you to find your vehicle in the Live Auction.

Each Live Auction features a circular, dynamic countdown timer. The timer will become completely red to signal that bidding has ended.

If at all possible, you will want to join the Live Auction for your vehicle. In cases where a live bidder and pre-bidders have the same winning bid, we will award the auction to the live bidder.

To avoid overpaying for a vehicle, we encourage you to set a maximum bid amount during Preliminary Bidding. Your bid will only increase if necessary to maintain your position as the high bidder.

Should another potential buyer surpass your maximum amount, we will send you an email that will allow you to increase your maximum bid prior to the start of the Live Auction phase.

One of our specialists can make a bid on your behalf during the Live Auction. This is a great resource if you are unable to be present for the Live Auction, if you are unsure of how you should bid, or for any reason at all.

Our FAQ section includes the questions most of our clients have and covers many areas beyond bidding. Additionally, we would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to email us, participate in a live chat, or simply give us a call at +1 (786) 801-3441, 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.
